This Privacy Policy describes how Plain Calendar ("we", "our", or "the Application") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Windows desktop application.

2.1 Calendar Data from Google
When you connect your Google Calendar account, the Application accesses:
- Calendar event titles, descriptions, and locations

- Event attendees and organizers
- Calendar names and settings
- Event reminders and notifications
2.2 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect any personal information beyond what's necessary for calendar synchronization
- We do not collect analytics or usage statistics
- We do not collect device information or system data
- We do not use cookies or tracking technologies
- We do not collect information about other applications on your device
3. How We Use Your Information
Your calendar data is used exclusively for:
- Display: Showing your calendar events in the application interface
- Synchronization: Keeping your local calendar in sync with Google Calendar
- Management: Allowing you to create, edit, and delete events
- Offline Access: Storing data locally so you can view events without internet
We do NOT:
- Share your data with any third parties
- Use your data for advertising or marketing
- Analyze your calendar data for any purpose
- Train AI models or machine learning algorithms with your data
- Sell or monetize your information in any way
4. Data Storage
4.1 Local Storage
All calendar data is stored locally on your Windows device in an encrypted database using Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI). The data location is:

- Data is encrypted and accessible only by your Windows user account
- No cloud backup or external storage is used
4.2 No Remote Storage
We do not operate any servers or cloud storage. Your calendar data never leaves your device except when:
- Synchronizing directly with Google Calendar API
- You explicitly choose to back up your device
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
The Application only communicates with Google Calendar API for synchronization purposes. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
5.1 Google Calendar Integration
When you authorize Google Calendar access:
- Data is transmitted directly between your device and Google servers
- We do not act as an intermediary or store credentials
- Your Google authentication tokens are stored locally and encrypted
- You can revoke access anytime through Google Account settings
6. Data Security
We implement security measures to protect your data:
- Encryption: Local data is encrypted using Windows DPAPI
- Authentication: OAuth 2.0 for secure Google Calendar access
- No Password Storage: We never see or store your Google password
- Isolated Storage: Data accessible only by your Windows user account
7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Access and Control
You have complete control over your data:
- View: All your calendar data is visible in the application
- Export: Data is stored in standard SQLite format
- Delete: Uninstalling removes all local data
- Disconnect: You can disconnect Google Calendar access anytime
7.2 Revoking Access
To revoke Google Calendar access:
- Visit Google Account Permissions
- Find "Plain Calendar" in the list
- Click "Remove Access"
8. Data Retention
- Calendar data is retained locally until you delete it or uninstall the application
- Uninstalling the application permanently deletes all local data
- Disconnecting Google Calendar does not delete local data (manual deletion required)
9. Children's Privacy
Plain Calendar is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data is stored locally on your device. When synchronizing with Google Calendar, data transfer is handled by Google according to their privacy policy.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
